Activities –
1. Class watches the Brainpopjr. movie “Characters” and then draws a picture of their favorite character from a book.
2. Class watches the Brainpopjr. movie “Setting” and then plays a game to find the right setting.
3. Students make a Backyardigans adventure together then create one on their own.
4. Students who finish early may play “Sequences” ordering events.

Differentiation –
1. All students will watch, listen, and read along with video reinforced with discussion.
2. Mouse over will read instructions to students during activity.


Comparing Two Stories
Grade One

5. If they have time, students may play the game and then draw a picture of something renewable.
